Zoe Saldana is an American actress and dancer who jumped into the limelight with her prominent roles in blockbuster films including Pirates of the Caribbean. Star Trek Star Trek Into Darkness, Avatar and The Curse of the Black Pearl. Saldana started out as an amateur stage artist. She has been trained as a ballet dancer. After performing in several plays as part of FACES and the New York Youth theater group, Saldana made her big-screen debut as Center Stage. Saldana is still enjoying immense success with the most impressive collection of top earning international films. The thing that gives her an edge over other actresses in her time is her ability to perform in a variety of roles. Saldana's versatility has allowed her to be a part of a wide range of styles. The genres range from romance comedies and tragedies and sci-fi movies to action-fiction films to dramas, and much many more.
