Tina and Amanda

Tina Louise (born Tina Louise) is an American writer, singer and performer most famous for her role as Ginger Grant in Gilligan's Island. Her acting career began as a stage artist during the 1950s starting with Two's Company a musical by Bettle Davis. Then, in 1956 she got her first big break in the stage on Broadway in Li'l Abner's musical. In the same calendar year she released her first musical album, It's Tina Time. Louise first made it to Hollywood as Griselda Walden on God's Small Acre, a drama from 1957. This film became a big hit and Louise even won the Golden Globe Award at the New Star of the Award category. In the course of this film, she was joined the Actors Studio in New York and began a relationship with Lee Strasberg as his student. The next notable role she portrayed was Ginger Grant, which CBS hired her to play in the year 1964. Louise worked successfully in both Hollywood as well as Broadway, playing somber characters that reflected her reputation as a the glamour girl. Amanda Tapping..........................Amanda Tapping is best known for her acting roles as Samantha Carter in the series Stargate. SG-1 and in the role of Helen Magnus in Sanctuary although during the past couple of years she also has made her name as a director who has been successful in several well-known television series such as Supernatural as well as The 100. Her family moved from Essex to Toronto, where she spent her childhood and teenage years. Samantha Carter was chosen in 1997 to play the role and has been settling down in Toronto ever since.
