Andrea Jeremiah

Andrea Maria Jeremiah has worked as an actor as well as a musician, playback singer and actress on Tamil films as well as Malayalam film. Annayum Rasoolum, a Malayalam film is her Malayalam acting debut. Andrea Jeremiah was born in an Anglo-Indian family living in the Arakkonam region of in Tamil Nadu.Andrea's father works as a solicitor in the Madras High Court. She has an older sister who is a resident of Leuven Belgium, as a Research assistant. Jeremiah hails from Chennai. She was a student at National Public School, and later graduated from Women's Christian College. She has said that she was an avid fan of science and wanted to become a psychiatrist after passing the 12th grade of her board exams.Andrea began studying classical piano when she was eight. Young Stars is a Jackson Five type group she joined in the age of 10 and was the beginning of her music and singing career. In her college, she was also a theater artist and performed in stage productions organized through The Madras Players. She served as President of the The Women's Christian College's Student Senate. Andrea started her career in theatre by appearing in Girish Karnad's Nagamandala. She was featured in the leo coffee commercial with Shiva. Also, she was a part of the serial that was broadcast on Podhigai channel. The actress has appeared all over India. She performed a very brief performance in Kanda Mudhal which was the 2005 climax. Gautham Vaisudev Menon had her sing in the film Vettaiyaadu Vilaiyaadu, then requested her to play in the role of a female character on Pachaikili Muthucharam. The film was an adaptation of the novel by James Siegel Derailed. It featured Andrea as Kalyani a homemaker who's husband is involved in a sexual affair and gets blackmailed. Andrea was approached after Simran Shobana and Tabu. The film was first released in 2010. In 2011 she agreed to play a minor supporting role in Venkat Prabhu's multi-starrer Mankatha which was released in August of 2011. The actress made her Malayalam film debut with Rajeev Rathi's Annayum Rasoolum in 2013.
