Summer glau

Firefly The Firefly, the new hit Whedon show, grew out of her one-off episode. Summer Glau's River Tam character was complex and Glau dealt with it well. In the role of Tam, the character was forced into government experiments that required her to be trained to be the ultimate assassin. The ability of Tam to regulate her mood was stripped from her. Glau was able to showcase not just her acting talents, but her fighting skills on Firefly. The training she received as an assassin gave her the chance to utilize every aspect of her athletic ability. Summer Glau's classical training has made her a skilled ballerina. Her broken toe, however, that put the end of her dancing career. Firefly did not last for more than one season, but it gained a huge follower base. Whedon came back to it several years later. Summer Glau, however, was still receiving top-quality work. Her appearances on TV shows were as diverse as Cold Case and CSI: Crime Scene Investigation.
